Natalie Cassidy gives birth to a baby girl by caesarean

Natalie Cassidy and fiancé Adam Cottrell have become parents for the first time.

The ex-EastEnders star gave birth to a 8lb 15oz baby girl by caesarean operation last week.

Natalie, 27, has named her daughter after her mum, who died in 2002 from bowel cancer.

‘We’ve decided to call her Eliza Beatrice,’ she explains. ‘My mum’s name was Evelyn but my dad always called her Liza…

‘It’s amazing to be given a chance to build the same kind of bond I had with my own mum. It’s very healing.’

Natalie – who got engaged to Adam, 30, on the Italian island of Capri in April – is enjoying motherhood.

‘We’re on cloud nine,’ she adds. ‘We keep crying all the time. We’re a family!

‘I can’t believe she’s ours. She’s so beautiful.’
