Kate and William released four photographs to mark Prince Louis's christening and it is the first time we have seen an official picture of them as a family of five.

The photos were taken by Matt Holyoak at Clarence House shortly after the ceremony on Monday afternoon.

The photographs from the christening show that the Cambridge's eldest children are growing in confidence, and that Princess Charlotte in particular, has taken to being a big sister with ease.

In one of the images Princess Charlotte can be seen holding Prince Louis's hand and is turned away from the camera as she is fixated on her little brother.

Prince George also looks adorable as he grins on the lap of Prince William and Louis's head is lightly resting on Prince George's shoulder.

Prince Charles and Camilla are also photographed, standing on the left and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on the right.

It's perhaps no surprise that Charlotte is so close to Prince Louis as she is likely to have spent more time with him than Prince George. When Prince Louis was born on 23 April, Prince George had to return to school the next day whereas Charlotte was able to spend the rest of the week bonding with Louis.

With George's fifth birthday just around the corner, it's set to be an exciting month  for the Cambridge family and they'll all want to make sure Prince George feels as special and important as he always has been.

In the portrait showing just the Cambridge family Princess Charlotte once again stays close to her mother and Prince Louis. Looking a little more shy, Prince George stands close to his father with one hand in his pocket.

The final image in the set of four shows Kate lovingly holding her youngest child while in the garden of Clarence House.

The portraits are some of the most intimate pictures we have seen of the Cambridge family and the release of such candid images shows their commitment to satisfying the public interest in their children and family.

Amid the excitement, Kate and William released a fifth picture of Prince Louis and it's probably the cutest yet!

This picture was taken by Matt Porteous and Kensington Palace wrote that Kate and William hope the public love the picture as much as them.

We do!!

Although it is not certain when the family's next official engagement as a five will be, we hope that we'll get another glimpse into their life for Prince George's birthday.
