Rebekah Vardy has revealed that she suffered from postnatal depression after giving birth to her second child.
The 34 year old appeared on Loose Women with her two-month-old son, alongside panel hosts Ruth Langsford, Katie Price, Linda Robson and Gloria Hunniford, to discuss motherhood.
Rebekah opened up about struggling with her mental health after giving birth to second child Finley, admitting she ‘couldn’t get out of bed’.
The mum-of-four went on to say that she feels postnatal depression is still a ‘taboo subject’, with a ‘stigma’ surrounding it.
‘I think people in general after you’ve had kids think you’re a superwoman, carry on, you’re fantastic with the kids there are never any issues. It’s a really taboo subject, postnatal depression.
‘There’s a stigma they think it doesn’t exist – it was after my second child. I found it really tough. I couldn’t get out of bed. It’s very much real.
‘I realised I needed some support and help.’
Just before discussing some of the difficulties of motherhood with the Loose Women, Rebekah showed support for what is also often considered a taboo subject: breastfeeding in public. Nursing live on air, Rebekah fed two-month-old Finley from the green room with a blanket to give her some added privacy.

The wife of footballer Jamie Vardy also revealed some of the disturbing threats she and her family have received, with some football fans even wishing ‘stillbirth‘ on her baby son.
The former model said, ‘It was horrific. It was just wishing stillbirth on him, really disgusting stuff. It is a minority of people.
‘I don’t think I’d ever stop reading it. The minute you take yourself away from that is the minute the trolls win. Twitter, Instagram – I think it’s important to highlight what we go through.
‘There’s been death threats. I had someone try and run me off the road the other day.
‘We’ve always got security but you just never know. You can’t take things for granted.
‘You never know if that person is going to follow through. To brush it off like it’s nothing would be stupid.
‘[Security] can be quite intrusive sometimes but we do it to protect ourselves and our kids.’
Rebekah also shares two-year-old daughter Sofia with Jamie, and has son Taylor, six, and daughter Megan, 11, from previous relationships.
