Robbie Williams reveals how he proposed to his ‘queen’ Ayda Field

Robbie proved romance isn’t dead with his adorable proposal story.

In a very romantic Instagram post on Thursday, the Angels singer revealed how he proposed to the love of his life, actress and Loose Women panellist Ayda Field, as part of Romance Awareness Month.

Taking to social media to express his love for his ‘queen’, Robbie shared a cute black and white photo of him and Ayda and told his fans how fate guided his decision to pop the question.

‘Every time I used to think of Ayda and pull a card from a deck it would always be a queen, so I took her to the place that I first laid my eyes on her and gave her four queens,’ he wrote.

‘Each card said one word each. Will… You… Marry… Me? #RomanceAwarenessMonth’

Excuse us while we wipe away our tears!

Thousands of Robbie’s followers commented on the emotional post to congratulate the couple.

‘This is just beautiful x,’ said one fan, while another added: ‘ ‘Fate, you saw the signs and took action! Gorgeous pic – so happy for you both’

Hoping her spouse could pick up a few romantic moves from Robbie, one follower joked: ‘Robbie, you need to give my husband some tips lol’

It’s not the first time Robbie and Ayda have given us relationship goals this month. Just last week, Ayda posted a photo of their wedding day in celebration of their eight-year anniversary.

To the soundtrack of ‘Don’t Stop Believin’’ by Journey, Ayda wrote a heartfelt message to her husband reflecting on their shared journey: ‘@robbiewilliams 8 years ago today we got married. Thank you for taking the midnight train to anywhere with me. It’s been the journey of a lifetime. Happy Anniversary! I love you!!’

Ayda and Robbie started dating in 2006 and got married at Robbie’s home in Mulholland Estates, Beverly Hills in 2010. They share two children, Theodora, 7, and Charlton, 3.
