Ex-TOWIE star Sam Faiers has taken to her Instagram account to ask her 1.9million followers their opinion on setting up something similar for her son.
Noticing the trend for celebs setting up dedicated accounts for their little ones, Sam asked her followers if they’d like to see the same for baby Paul.
‘I wanted to ask your advice, I have a lot of messages, dms, tweets & comments on Paul most of the time and find it hard to respond, reply to everything,’ she wrote, alongside an adorable throwback picture of Paul at 10 months old, sitting on a chair with the biggest grin on his little face.
‘Should I make him a separate account? I can post and tag outfits, toys, days out etc – like a baby/toddler blog? Comment below. Sam x’
Sam’s fans responded in their hundreds, with many taking to the comment section to offer their thoughts – and some had very different opinions to others.
‘It’s really nice that you share pics of baby Paul etc but I think you should just leave it on your social media as his mummy,’ said one. ‘Personally I don’t think babies or small children should have their own pages. I’m a mother of 4 boys and my 2 eldest had to wait until they were 13 for Instagram. But you are baby Paul’s mummy so it is down to you x’.
Another agreed: ‘I’d say no. You are in effect creating a brand out of him. He’s an absolute beauty and you are clearly a lovely mummy but keep him as part of your family and not a separate brand.’
But some commenters thought it was a great idea.
‘My girls have one, more of a record of them growing up for me to share and only because now i have them i have no life meaning if i had my own instagram it would be awfully boring 😂’ joked one. ‘I love them and my world revolves around them but you have a wonderfully exciting life as well. So its totally down to you xx’.
And a fourth said, ‘Yes! I’m Finnleys mommy and this account is for him.. It’s so brilliant having a separate account to show the world your bubba and to see everyone else’s and compare parenting tips.’
What do you think? Would you follow baby Paul’s own Instagram account? Let us know in the comments!
