The Handmaid’s Tale star Yvonne Strahovski has revealed that she is expecting her first child with husband Tim Loden.
The 35-year-old announced her exciting news on Instagram, showing off her growing baby bump in a clingy pink dress.
Captioning the snap, she said: 'I am very excited to finally be able to share my special news – I’m going to be a Mama!
'So very exciting to watch & feel this little Peanut growing every day!’
Fans quickly sent messages of congratulations to the star, with one posting: ‘Congratulations! I have being a fan of yours for years and truly hope for a beautiful healthy baby for the lucky mama.’
Another said: ‘Congratulations on your news - you look even more stunning’
While a third added: ‘You are going to be such an amazing mom! Congrats!!’
And a fourth gushed: ‘Oh my god! I'm so excited for you! Your baby will be so beautiful! I hope you will have a wonderful life with your family, because you deserve it.’
Yvonne, who portrays a woman haunted by her struggle to conceive in the hit show, recently told Stellar magazine of her desire to start a family of her own.
'It's definitely something I want for my future,' she said.
'[Playing her character on Handmaid's Tale] has made me wary of starting that process. I just always imagine if I have a child at work - screaming at people or throwing things around - how on earth will that affect something growing inside of me?'
The Australian actress wed her long-time partner Tim in secret last summer.
Revealing to E! News at the 2017 Emmys that she and Tim had tied the knot only months prior, she said of their wedding day: ‘We ended up jumping in the lake in our suit and gown, it was ridiculously hot. But we had a great time.’
