A recent study by Vouchercode.com has found that Britain’s favourite chocolate bar is no other than the classic Cadbury Dairy Milk bar. But which other chocolates made the cut?
We’re a nation full of chocolate lovers consuming an average of 1.5 tonnes of chocolate (that’s £12,000 worth!) in a lifetime. Our obsession with this delicious treat has now led us to ask the golden question, which is Britain’s favourite chocolate bar?
The recent study by Vouchercodes.com reveals that Cadbury’s Dairy Milk is by far the favourite chocolate bar in the UK. On average, a person will consume 22 bars of Dairy Milk chocolate in just one year – that’s 1,317 chocolate bars in an average lifetime.
With Cadbury’s Dairy Milk bar taking top spot, Snickers, the peanut and caramel packed chocolate bar, was a close contender ranking second in the pole.
Bounty, Flake and Twirl chocolate bars followed swiftly in the rankings. Rolo, Milky Way, Boost and old school Munchies chocolate got the least amount of votes in the pole.

The study also found that a typical adult would eat an average of 7,004 chocolate bars in their lifetime, including 1,642 dark chocolate, 1,425 white and 3,934 milk.
And it’s not just chocolate bars – the average Brit also eats 104 Easter eggs and 668 slices of chocolate cake in their lifetime, as well as drinking nearly 3,000 mugs of hot chocolate! We certainly know how to live…
The research also found that four in 10 Brits admit to being a ‘chocoholic’ and six in 10 people would hate to live in a world without chocolate – agreed!
