Aldi's new liquers sound like springtime in a bottle.

Aldi is well known for its award-winning drinks range, and now fans of its Infusionist range are in for a real treat. The budget supermarket has announced that it will be adding four new tipples to its liqueur collection next month– and they sound very unusual indeed.

For gin lovers with a sweet tooth, there’s the new Parma Violet Shimmer Infused Gin Liqueur.

Aldi describe it as ‘fabulously fragrant’ and say it’s a ‘nostalgic reminder of childhood sweet treats’. Yum. It’ll impress at parties too, thanks to its eye catching swirl of glitter!

If you like a drink with a bit more bite, or you’re after a budget alternative to Whitley Neill’s new Pink Grapefruit Gin, you might prefer the Infusionist Rhubarb, Pink Grapefruit & Black Pepper Gin Liqueur, which has distinctive peppery notes and sharp citrus flavours.

Looking to bottle that holiday feeling? We reckon a drop of the Infusionist Coconut & Vanilla Rum Liqueur will make it feel like summer has come early.

Then there’s the fabulously exotic-sounding Infusionist Mango, Papaya and Zuzu Vodka Liqueur. ‘A combination of papaya and mango and yuzu flavours, this deliciously fruity blend of tropical flavours creates a warm and exotic vodka liqueur,’ say Aldi. ‘Perfect for springtime sipping!’

They’re a bit of a steal, too – each liqueur costs just £9.99 for a 50cl bottle. You'll find them in store from 26th April.

Last year, one of Aldi’s own brand gins was named the best in the world, so at that price we think it’d be rude not to give them a try.

They’d be perfect in a spring cocktail. But if you’re too lazy to mix your own (hey, no judgement here) you could always pick up a bottle of pre-mixed Negroni or Espresso Martini from Lidl.

So if you were looking for an excuse to throw an impromptu bank holiday BBQ, you’re welcome.
