Aldi is no stranger to sending shoppers into a frenzy with its bargain buys and now they're bringing back the popular Tomahawk steak ready for the August Bank Holiday.
Shoppers also go wild for the supermarket’s beauty buys and when news broke that there was a two box limit on halloumi fries, people nearly lost their minds!
The supermarket often re-stocks or brings back popular items to satisfy customer demand and the Tomahawk steak is the latest example of this.
Thankfully it’s arriving back in store on 23 August, just ahead of next week’s Bank holiday weekend, so you can stock up before sitting back to relax over the long weekend.
The Tomahawk steak is perfect for sharing with a large group of friends and would be delicious barbecued – weather permitting of course…
At just £12.99 per kilo Aldi’s offering costs a fraction of its competitions like Waitrose who have a similar steak for nearly 50 per cent more.
The Tomahawk steak is a cut of Rib-Eye beef on the bone, which means when it cooks there is bucket loads of flavour without doing too much to it.
Another product launching in store that is bursting with flavour and perfect for the BBQ is Aldi’s chorizo sausage whirls.
The four pack of sausages costs £2.99 and they’re made with British outdoor bred, RSPCA-assured pork and Spanish chorizo.
These mouth-watering whirls of meat are gluten-free and are seasoned with black pepper, paprika, smoked paprika, cumin and cayenne pepper for a little touch of spice.
As with all of Aldi’s Specialbuys, it’s available while stocks last and once they’re gone they’re gone.
So if you want to get your hands on a steak or two you had better head down to store as soon as they launch.
If you’re planning a trip to the supermarket over the bank holiday weekend it is also worth taking note of the altered opening times.
The supermarket will be open from 8am to 10pm on Saturday 25 August, 10am to 4pm on Sunday 26 August and 8am to 8pm on Monday 27 August.
