Costa launches Pigs in Blankets Mac and Cheese in new festive menu and we can’t wait for Christmas

Every year Christmas food creations get even more wacky and indulgent.

This year so far we’ve had Marks and Spencer red velvet and chocolate orange spreads, Aldi’s six-litre bottle of prosecco, and even Iceland Christmas tree flavour crisps.

And now lots of supermarkets are embracing everyone’s favourite Christmas dinner trimming: pigs in blankets.

Aldi has released foot-long pigs in blankets for extra crispy goodness, Tesco has changed the game with pigs in duvets and Sainsbury’s has gone a slightly different direction with their rather questionable pigs in blankets flavoured tea.

And now coffee shops are catching up by releasing their all-new Christmas menus.

Of course there are all the usual suspects like roast dinner sandwiches and peppermint everything. But Costa is bringing us an early Christmas present with their new festive mac and cheese!

As part of this year’s Christmas menu, the coffee shop chain is releasing a Mac and Cheese topped with pigs in blankets.

And for true pigs in blankets fanatics (isn’t everyone?), they’re doing a Pigs Tucked Under Blankets Panini.

But that’s not all. Also included in their festive Panini range is a Brie, Bacon and Cranberry Panini and a Christmas Cheese Board Panini to satisfy all our festive Camembert cravings.

As for their winter drinks?

They’ll have their usual Black Forest Hot Chocolate and Gingerbread & Cream Latte on offer, but this year they’re adding to the festivities with a selection of new winter warmers.

You can now get their Gingerbread & Cream flavour as a hot chocolate, a Caramelised Orange & Cream Latte and Hot Chocolate, a Hazelnut Praline & Cream Latte and Hot Chocolate and a Luxury Hot Chocolate.

And for those with a real sweet tooth or who aren’t a fan of hot chocolate, you can now get your hands on a Luxury Caramel, which is hot caramel topped with foamy milk.

These festive treats will be available from 1 November so get down there asap to give your tastebuds an early Christmas gift.
