Aldi have launched foot-long sausages in time for Father's Day

These look yummy!

With Father’s Day just around the corner, budget supermarket Aldi are selling foot-long sausages for just £1.99.

These incredibly meaty treats are made with 100% British pork, and are perfect for summertime BBQs. Fingers crossed we get sunshine for the Father’s Day weekend then!

In keeping with the barbeque theme, the sausages are infused with South Carolina sauce, a mustard-based BBQ sauce for extra flavour. Teamed with some hot dog buns and some fried onions, it’s an easy and delicious meal to enjoy outdoors.

Alongside the new addition, Aldi are also bringing back their popular Big Daddy steak. Shoppers can enjoy a whopping 16oz of meat for £4.99, so it would be rude not to really. This one is best cooked over a very high heat, and then rested for 10 minutes. Patience is a virtue after all.

If you’re more of a pork fan, you can also pick up a porchetta joint weighing in at 1.5kg and costing just £9.99. That’s enough to feed lots of hungry mouths this summer, so why not invite the family round for some classic home cooking.

For non-meat eaters, Aldi have also released their brand new vegan range which includes soya sausage rolls and plant-based burgers.

Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying said: ‘The launch of our new vegan range is in response to our growing, ethically inspired customer base, looking for delicious alternatives to meat.’

These Aldi offers are usually quick to sell out, so if you want to grill up some of the new foot-long sausages for your dad (or even yourself), it’s a good idea to get there fast.
