The festive season is right around the corner, so you might have a big party coming up to celebrate.
Prosecco is the perfect accompaniment to any party, and Aldi have confirmed they’re bringing back their sell out Methuselah Prosecco in time for the festivities.
Last year it was so popular that it sold out in just 24 hours, so you might have to set your alarms if you’re desperate to get one of these for yourself.
The six litre bottle is the equivalent of eight 75cl bottles of Prosecco, so there’s plenty to go around!
According to Aldi, the Prosecco is ‘light, fun and frothy - with notes of parma violets, ripe pear and papaya, as well as having a soft and well-balanced palate’. Sounds good to us!
Shoppers will be able to pick up this mammoth bottle of booze from 1st November, and it will cost £99.99.
Don’t be intimidated by the Methuselah bottle, as Aldi‘s Wine Expert Sam Caporn has offered an easy way to open the bottle safely without wasting any of the precious Prosecco.

She says, "For this larger bottle, I’d say this is definitely a two-man job, so grab a pal and follow the below.
"First remove the muzzle – but make sure you keep hold of the cork at all times (this is the key to avoiding any accidents)."

She adds, "Now its time for a little help from your friends - one of you needs to hold the base of the bottle while the other looks after the neck. Pointing away from the party of people, twist the bottle (and not the cork) until the cork gently loosens."
Sam also recommends using two people to pour the Prosecco as it’s a weighty bottle and the last thing you want to do is drop it!
If you’d prefer something smaller yet still impressive, Aldi also offer a Jeroboam bottle of Prosecco which contains three litres or four 75cl bottles.
Or for something a lot more lowkey, there’s plenty of regular sized bottles of Prosecco on shelves across the country.
