Cadbury has brought back a second round of their Inventor Competition – here’s how to enter

Consider yourself a chocolate connoisseur? Cadbury are giving you the chance to design a winning bar that will appear on supermarket shelves.

For the first round of this competition, Callum from Ireland won with his Choco-Latte invention. His winning combo featured milk chocolate, coffee flavoured crème, and biscuit pieces. Yum!

Callum’s bar is now available in stores across the UK, and yours could be too if you enter their Inventor Competition. You have to be over 16 and live in the UK to enter the competition.

If you want to create your own bar, visit cadburyinventor.com and mix three ingredients together. Then, you’ll be asked to name your bar, explain why you made it, and choose the colour schemes before submitting.

There’s a whole host of ingredients available to mix, ranging from tasty to unusual. Examples include gooey brownie, popping candy, rose, spicy chilli, Dijon mustard, tomato and even edible glitter if you want your design to sparkle.

In fact, Cadbury say there are over 90,000 possible combinations so you’ve got free rein to be as creative as you like. The only hard part is choosing which one you like best!

Claudia Miceli, Senior Brand Manager at Cadbury, says: ‘We are thrilled to be re-launching the Cadbury Inventor Competition for a second year and seeing what other delicious creations our fans come up with.

‘With so many ingredients to choose from, chocolate lovers across the country are sure to be spoilt for choice and we look forward to seeing the imagination of our fans shine through.’

Entries will be judged on taste and creativity, with Cadbury saying they’ll be put through a ‘rigorous judging process’. Shortlisted entrants will get to visit the Cadbury Chocolate Centre of Excellence in Bournville, where they will work with chocolate experts to experiment with their ingredients and make their creations a reality.

Then, the three shortlisted bars will be sold in shops and it’s up to the public to decide which one they like best. As well as having their bar on display in shops, the winner will receive a year’s supply of the bar they created as a job well done.
