Iceland launches bargain fried chicken deal – and it’s £7 cheaper than KFC

When the weekend hits no-one feels like cooking.

Of course, come Sunday it’s all about a roast dinner, but on Friday when it’s just hit, who wants to get the pots and pans out?

After a hard week at work and ferrying the kids around here and there Friday night means feet up on the sofa, TV on and glass of wine in hand. And of course – time to dig into the takeaway menu drawer.

But when it’s nearing the end of the month and the bank account is looking a bit worse for wear, the Friday night takeaway also comes with a little pang of guilt. Especially when you’re ordering for the whole family.

Low-cost supermarket Iceland is offering a deal on their Southern Fried chicken that gives you a whopping 40 pieces of chicken, sides, drink and dessert for a bargain price.

The deal gives you Iceland’s own Let’s Eat American Family Box, which contains 40 pieces of Southern Fried Chicken Wings, Southern Fried Chicken Breast Fillet Strips, Chicken Popsters and Potato Wedges, all coated in a tasty southern-style seasoning.

You also get a 900g bag od McCain Crispy French Fries, a 415g tin of Heinz Beans, a 625g bag full of Iceland’s own Frozen For Freshness Mini Corn Cobs and a three-litre bottle of Pepsi Max.

And of course they didn’t forget something sweet to dig into after the mammoth feast. The deal comes with a 460ml tub of luxuriously sweet Haagen-Dazs Salted Caramel Ice Cream. Yum!

And possibly the best part? You can get the whole family feast for only £10!

That’s £6.99 cheaper than leading fast food joint KFC’s similar offering – and they don’t even give you the Haagen-Dazs!
