Iceland launches the UK’s first microwavable stonebaked pizza

And they are made just outside of Venice

Iceland, one of the UK’s best-loved supermarkets, has launched the first microwavable stonebaked pizza and it’s even made in Italy.

For many families across the UK, pizza will be a firm favourite dinner option. While we’re certain the nation will never resolve the pineapple on pizza debate, there is no denying that whether you’re making it from scratch or grabbing a frozen or fresh pizza from the supermarket – it’s a convenient, cheap and easy dish that’s perfect for feeding a crowd.

And of course, even adults can appreciate the joy of personalising your own individual pizza – why should kids have all the fun?!

Taking convenience to a whole new level, Iceland have now launched authentic, microwavable pizzas that are stonebaked topped with Italian mozzarella and passata.

They are made just outside of Venice in the foothills of the Dolomites.

Veggies can enjoy a classic margherita or meat-eaters can indulge in the pepperoni.

The pizzas take just 2 minutes and 30 seconds to cook from frozen, so when you’re tummy grumbles you don’t have to wait long to satisfy your hunger.

The 160g pizzas cost just £1 and are well worth stocking up on given how affordable, quick and easy they are. Iceland predict they’ll be a huge hit with Freshers who are settling into the swing of university but we think they’ll go down a storm in households across the UK!

In other news, Iceland have also expanded its Greggs pastry range, with two new exclusive exciting products.

Both the Greggs Pepperoni Wraps and the Greggs Cheese and Tomato Wraps are £2 a pack.

Several were thrilled when they discovered Iceland stock Greggs items and took to social media to share their delight.

One person said: “Best thing that [has] ever happened [is] Iceland selling Greggs pasties - my gosh”, while another added: “Just discovered Iceland does Greggs sausage rolls and pasties!!! How did I miss this 😂”.
