Frozen supermarket Iceland are already selling pigs in blankets, so you don’t have to wait until the festive season to enjoy the popular snack.
Shoppers can pick up 12 Sausage and Bacon Rolls for just £2, which will be a welcome addition to any Sunday roast. For many of us, they’re the best part of Christmas dinner, so we’re very excited we can now enjoy them all year round.
They’re easy to cook too, simply put them in the oven for 30 – 35 mins and turn them halfway through cooking. Enjoy them with a big dinner or on their own as a snack, we’re definitely not judging!
Last December, we saw all sorts of unusual pigs in blankets variants hitting the shelves, including the Co-op’s mac and cheese topped pigs and blankets, Tesco’s pigs in duvets and even Aldi’s 12-inch pigs in blankets. We can’t wait to see what surprising twists the supermarkets come up with this year!
If you want to have a go at making your own classic version however, we have an easy pigs in blankets recipe. They take 10 minutes to prep and 15 to cook, so you’ll be tucking in before you know it.
