Prepare for some serious nostalgia

  • Here at goodtoknow, we're big fans of anything made of potato and covered in salt, but sometimes it seems like the crisps of today just don't match up to the snacks of yesteryear.

Some crisp favourites have discontinued their best flavours, whilst others have disappeared from the shops altogether – and we’re pretty sure we’re not the only ones who feel heartbroken when we can’t get our hands on our favourite savoury snack anymore.

Here are 26 retro crisps we’d love to see in stores again – is your favourite on here?

    1. Walkers classics

    Which is your favourite? (Getty)

Back in 2015, Walkers launched a new ‘Bring It Back’ campaign to bring back some old classics including Cheese and Chive, Beef and Onion and Lamb and Mint. Following a landslide of votes, they decided to bring back Beef and Onion.

But, sadly, there’s no sign of the other flavours making a comeback anytime time.

    2. Wotsits Wafflers

Oh smoky cage of Wotsit goodness, how we miss thee.

    3. Worcestershire sauce Twiglets

We’d like the curry flavour ones back too, please!

    4. Cheese Space Raiders

While pickled onion Space Raiders have remained popular over time, the cheese flavour failed to go the distance.

    5. Tudors

    Gone since 2003, never forgotten.

    6. Tangy Toms

Rumour has it you can still buy these crunchy tomato balls online, but you never see them in the shops anymore.

    7. Skydivers

Remember these little corn snacks which were shaped like little men with their arms out and legs spread?

    8. Spaghetti sauce Monster Munch

And while we’re at it, we’ll also have…

    9. Cheese and onion Monster Munch

… which brought a whole new meaning to the phrase cheesy feet, and…

    10. Vanilla ice cream flavour Monster Munch

… which were kind of gross, but kind of yummy. We need to taste them again to double check.

    11. Rancheros

Bacon, BBQ, Pork and Bean… we’d scoff the lot.

    12. Potato Puffs

Basically just potato flavoured air, but we still couldn’t resist them.

    13. Piglets

These were actually shaped like little piggies. Crisp dedication at its finest.

    14. Cream ‘n’ cheesy Nik Naks

Why they discontinued the cheese AND Scampi ‘n’ Lemon flavours (the best ones!) we’ll never know.

    15. KP cheese and onion Big Nuts

Okay, strictly not a crisp, but still an amazing savoury snack that needs to be brought back immediately.

    16. Wickers

‘The wonderful thing about Wickers are Wickers are wonderful things!’

    17. Hula Hoops XL

Like Hula Hoops, but bigger. What’s not to love?

    18. Hedgehog Crisps

We’ve never eaten a hedgehog, but we’re pretty sure these were just chicken flavour. Still delicious though.

    19. Football Crazy

If you ate enough you could send off for a football kit – not that we needed an extra incentive to munch them.

    20. Fish ‘N’ Chips

Possibly better than the real deal, right down to the newspaper packaging.

    21. Doritos 3D’s

Even just normal Doritos in the incredible Texas Paprika flavour would do.

    22. Walkers Snaps

Don’t even say it. Quavers are NOT the same.

    23. Bovril crisps

The perfect crisp for mashing up and putting in cheese sandwiches.

    24. Bitsa Pizza

Cheese and tomato were the BEST. Please Mr Walkers, can we have them back?

    25. Skips Tickle Pickle

These pickled onion flavoured crips were last seen around 2003.

    26. Cadbury Snaps

Remember this bizarre hybrid of a pringle and a chocolate? There’s even been petitions to bring these bad boys back.
