Sainsbury’s have rolled out an eight-week price lock down on hundreds of household items and big label brands, including Granny Smith apples, Cathedral City Mature cheddar and Cadbury Animals Mini Packs.

Get yourselves down to Sainsbury’s and stock up on your family favourites as for the next eight weeks they are locking down the prices on 1,600 household products.

The popular UK supermarket is trying to make it easier than ever to feed your family for less at breakfast, lunch and right through to dinner.

You can grab a 375g box of Kellogs Coco Pops cereal for £2, a 550g Cathedral City Mature Cheddar for £3 and a 500g jar of Dolmio Sauce for £1. Plus, if you’re a cat owner there’s deals to be had for your beloved pets too as a 12-pack of Felix As Good As It Looks cat food is just £3.50.

The price lockdown is available in store and online and will last for at least eight weeks.

Sainsbury’s hope the price lock down will help families to prepare ahead of the festive season and give them the opportunity to capitalise on consistent low prices and high value.

It’s not just food and drink items that you can make savings on too. There are price lock downs on a range of cleaning products and toiletries such as Colgate toothpaste, TRESemmé shampoo and conditioner and Simple Cleansing Wipes.

Speaking about the lock down, food commercial director for Sainsbury’s Paul Mills Kicks said: “We know our customers choose to shop with us for our fantastic quality, varied choice and now they have even more reason to visit our stores to do their entire shop, thanks to our consistently low prices.

"Sainsbury’s most recent price lockdown highlights our continued commitment in ensuring millions of Sainsbury’s customers can really live well for less.”
