How to make a giant cupcake with Lakeland

  • Line cake tin with cake release to make sure you get a perfect release once the cake is cooked.
  • Pour your cake mix into the mould. Evenly fill both sides of the mould and place in the oven.
  • When the cake is ready to come out of the oven (the sponge will spring back to the touch), tip the sponges onto a cooling rack and leave them to cool completely.
  • Sandwich together with jam and cream, buttercream or even chocolate. Then your giant cupcake is ready to be decorated.
