These delicious savoury scones, with a hint of sweetness and a crunchy topping, are marvelously moreish. The tasty combination of tangy cheese, apple and walnuts makes a wonderful treat. Inexpensive and easy to make, they take just 10 mins to prepare and 10 mins in the oven. Great served hot or cold, they’re particularly good eaten warm with lashings of butter, and are scrumptious with a crisp, cold glass of cider or apple juice. Try making a batch and popping them in the freezer – they reheat perfectly from frozen to make a lovely quick snack.
