Dallas Style burgers are the perfect solution when wanting to jazz up tea team. This Dallas style burger is bursting with flavour with Worcestershire sauce and Dijon mustard, perfect for all ages. Serve these addictive Dallas style burgers with some sweet potato chips, corn on the cob, and maybe some southern sweet tea for the perfect meal on a sunny afternoon. To prevent the meat from shrinking when it cooks, why not make a small dimple in the middle of the meat. This should prevent the meat from shrinking when you place it under the grill or on the barbecue. Cooking these amazing Dallas style burgers on the barbecue instead of under the grill to add even more smokiness to these moist burgers.
Ingredients
- 225g pork mince
- 225g beef mince
- 1 small onion, grated
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1tsp Dijon mustard
- 1tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1tbsp vegetable oil
- 4 crusty floured baps, or any white burger bun
- 2tbsp mayonnaise
- small wedge of iceberg lettuce, leaves separated
- barbecue sauce, to serve
- cress, to serve
- 1 large tomato, sliced, to serve

Method
- Put the pork and beef mince, onion, garlic, mustard and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper and mix together until all the ingredients are incorporated throughout the meat. Wet your hands, and then press the mixture firmly into 4 even burgers. Brush them with oil and cook them in a baking tray under a medium grill for 15 minutes or until completely cooked throughout, turning half way through.
- Split the buns in half and toast the baps until golden brown, spread the bases with mayonnaise, and then top with lettuce leaves.
- Put a burger on the mayo-spread base of the bap and dollop on some barbecue sauce, a couple of slices of tomato, a few sprigs of cress and serve with the bap lid on the side or on top.
