Everyone loves ice cream and with a plethora of flavours available in the supermarket, it’s so easily available; but they often come with a hefty price tag. This simple homemade ice cream recipe is a great way to indulge your sweet tooth without breaking the bank. With just 3 ingredients, this homemade ice cream offers a fail proof recipe using store cupboard staples. It also only takes 5 mins to prepare, as all you have to do is beat all the ingredients together – it couldn’t be easier to make this homemade ice cream! Once you’ve mastered this basic vanilla, use your imagination; try swirling through chocolate, fruit, caramel, mashmallows, nuts or coffee. The options are endless!

Ingredients

  • 400ml double cream
  • 200g condensed milk
  • 1tsp vanilla extract

Method

  • In a large bowl, beat all the ingredients together with an electric whisk to form soft peaks.

  • Scrap into freezable containers and freeze until solid. Transfer to the fridge 10 mins before serving.
