The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, have been embarking on their royal tour of Africa for the past week.

Yesterday, 38-year-old Meghan headed off for a solo engagement, going on a trip to Victoria Yards in Johannesburg without the company of her husband.

Victoria Yards is an urban South African village environment where artists are able to work and exhibit their pieces.

During the day, Meghan had the opportunity to learn more about the importance of, and how to enable a ‘wellbeing economy’ thanks to Co-Director of the Maker’s Valley Partnership, Simon Sizwe.

The former Suits actress also met with the owners of Sobae Frozen, an entrepreneurial duo who created their small business as a solution to food waste, creating vegan sorbet from unused fruit from Victoria Yards.

The new mother was also given the opportunity to visit the showroom of local designer, Tshepo, where she was given a rather special gift for four-month-old son, Archie Harrison.

Tshepo is said to be a premium lifestyle brand that uses denim and cotton to create a contemporary look.

The Duchess was presented with a pair of skinny fit dungarees, made especially for the royal tot.

Describing the sweet moment in detail, Manager of Tshepo’s showroom Lesedi Masemola said: ‘From what we've seen on the internet, she's the type of person who loves skinny fit so that's what we made.

‘When she saw the jeans, the words she said were, “Oh my, oh my”, she was very impressed, she loved the jeans, she said she couldn't wait to try them on and said, “wow”.

‘And when she saw the dungarees, she said “very cute”

‘I think they are very, very lovely,’ he added.

Aw!
