A nice, innocent murder

I love old school murder mysteries.

Murder, She Wrote, Midsomer Murders, Miss Marple, Poirot… The more dated the programme, the better.

I’m not sure what is it. Maybe it’s the ‘innocence’ of the plot lines (as innocent as murder can be, anyway), or perhaps the nostalgia of the music, or I guess it could be the picturesque scenery the shows are normally shot in.

More likely, though, it’s the fact that 9 times out of 10 I can figure our whodunit within the first 20 minutes.

ITV.com has a great archive of loads of old murder mysteries – so if you’ve got some free time, go to their classic crime section and get watching.
