Amy Winehouse has emphysema

Amy Winehouse has developed a chronic lung disease.

The singer was rushed to hospital after collapsing at her London home a week ago.

And now doctors have diagnosed her with emphysema.

They’ve warned her she could die if she continues to smoke.

‘It’s in its early stages but had gone on for another month, they painted a very vivid picture of her sitting there with a mask on her face struggling to breathe,’ dad Mitch, 57, tells The Metro.

‘The doctors have told her that if she goes back to smoking drugs, it won’t just ruin her voice. It will kill her.’

But Amy, 24, is still determined to appear at Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday gig on Friday in London’s Hyde Park.
