Britney Spears has been released from hospital 10 days earlier than expected.
The troubled singer checked out yesterday afternoon, accompanied by a security officer, and drove straight to the Beverly Hills Hotel.
TMZ report that doctors determined she did not pose a legal danger to herself or to others, so they couldn’t hold her against her will.
Brit was taken to UCLA Medical Center on the 31 January and put on a 5150 14-day psychiatric hold. She was also deemed Gravely Disabled.
Her early release has shocked her loved ones and parents Jamie and Lynne Spears have issued the following statement.
‘We were extremely disappointed this morning to learn that over the recommendation of her treating psychiatrist, our daughter Britney was released from the hospital.
‘We are deeply concerned about our daughter’s safety and vulnerability and we believe her life is presently at risk.
‘There are conservatorship orders in place created to protect our daughter that are being blatantly disregarded. We ask only that the court’s orders be enforced so that a tragedy may be averted.’
Jamie still has temporary power over Britney’s health, finances and estate.
The 26-year-old was later seen with on/off boyfriend Adnan Ghalib, 35, who drove her to lawyer Adam Steisland’s offices in LA.
