Cheryl Cole books singing dwarfs for Simon Cowell’s birthday

Cheryl Cole hired a trio of dwarfs to sing for Simon Cowell for his 51st birthday yesterday.

Phil Holden, Ray Griffiths and Darren Horan were snapped playing a violin, drum and accordian as they serenaded The X Factor judge outside the show’s studios in London.

They were wearing T-shirts that read: ‘Happy Birthday, Love Cheryl.’

‘Simon saw us and asked, “Are you for me?” before bursting out laughing,’ Phil tells The Sun. ‘He thought it was the best present he’d ever had.

‘Cheryl said she thought it would funny for us to annoy him. But it back-fired a bit because after we finished he said, “Right then, lads, you’re spending the day with me.”‘

Simon has also treated himself to a £200,000 black Ferrari California convertible for his birthday.
