Dawn French and husband Lenny Henry have announced their separation.
The couple split in October but have continued to share a home while they’ve talked about their futures apart.
‘Lenny Henry and Dawn French are sad to announce they have decided to separate after 25 years of marriage,’ reads a statement.
‘They made the decision last October and since then have been living together in constant, open and honest discussion.
‘The separation is entirely amicable and they fully intend to maintain their close friendship. Their priority is to commit to the future joint parenting of their daughter.’
Dawn, 52, and Lenny, 51, met in 1980 and got married in 1984 in Westminster.
They are parents to adopted daughter Billie, 18.
In 1999, Australian Merri Cheyne, spent the night with the comedian at a hotel in York.
After the revelation, Lenny – whose mother had recently passed away – checked into the Priory clinic in south-west London to get help for depression.
