Kate’s mum: ‘Please eat more’

Since Prince William jetted off to the Falkland Islands four weeks ago, his wife Kate Middleton has been propelled into the limelight with a hectic calendar of solo public engagements.

On the surface, she’s taken on her Royal duties with ease, but sources tell Now the extra responsibilities have left her nerves in tatters.

And it’s not the only part of her life 30-year-old Kate’s struggling with.

Now can reveal the Duchess of Cambridge’s mum Carole Middleton, 56, is concerned about her daughter’s weight.

At a charity roller disco in 2008, Kate was a slim but curvy size 8 girl next door.

Fast-forward to 2012 and her shrinking size 6 frame is a stark contrast.

‘Kate comes from a slim-built family but her mum looks at how skinny she’s become and is telling her to eat more,’ says a friend of Carole’s.

‘She worries that Kate’s pushing herself too hard and not looking after herself by eating balanced meals.’
