Simon Cowell has always wanted Cheryl Cole to be his side on the US X Factor and though she was ‘dropped’ as a judge after just 4 days, it’s looking likely she’ll be reinstated this week.
‘I’ve made it clear form the start, I’ve made it clear to everybody at Fox and Fremantle, the people involved, that my choice would be to have Cheryl Cole on the show,’ Simon, 51, still insists, confirms PR guru Max Clifford.
Fans of Cheryl, 27, have also demanded she’s given another chance, though some also suspect the whole drama is one big publicity stunt.
Simon’s mate Louis Walsh was left red-faced when he was dropped from The X Factor UK in April 2007, only to be reinstated a few months later.
But not everyone bounces back.
Choreographer Brian Friedman was offered Louis’s place, but was soon axed and made creative director.
Kelly Brook fell victim to Simon Cowell’s ruthlessness as she was ditched as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent in January 2009 after a week.
Sources also say Simon ‘made it impossible’ for Dannii Minogue to stay on the UK judging panel by changing the UK schedule to clash with Australia’s Got Talent.
Where to next?
