Take That win big at the Brits

Take That scooped 2 gongs at the Brits last night and got a very warm reception from the audience.

The boys – Mark Owen, Jason Orange, Howard Donald and Gary Barlow – were named Best British Live Act and their hit song Shine was Best Single.

Arctic Monkeys also managed a double, winning Best British Album and Best British Group.

American band the Foo Fighters went home with with Best International Album and Best International Group.

But X Factor winner Leona Lewis, 22, was left empty handed – despite being nominated for 4 awards.

In a huge shock, Kate Nash, 20, won the Best Female Solo Artist Award instead.

British Male Solo Artist went to Amy Winehouse’s pal Mark Ronson, 32.

Kylie Minogue, 39, received the biggest cheer of the night.

She topped her triumphant comeback after beating breast cancer last year by being named the International Female Solo Artist.
