X Factor finalist Cher Lloyd ended up in the sing-off with Paije Richardson last night.
The pair were in the bottom two for the first time – with Katie Waissel and Wagner Carrilho sailing through.
Paije remained dignified but Cher sobbed in shock.
Dannii Minogue voted to save her act Paije, Cheryl Cole to save mini-me Cher and Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh also choosing to give the cocky 17-year-old rapper a lifeline.
‘This is just outrageous that either of you are there,’ Dannii told Cher and Paije.
‘Paije, you did the most unbelievable performance this week.’
Unfortunately, it was not strong enough to keep the 20-year-old in the competition.
Cher’s safe for now but, having been nearly eliminated, her bubble may be about to burst. The formerly confident teenager was ‘speechless’ on The Xtra Factor.
‘What Cher doesn’t realise is that her popularity is waning,’ says Now’s source.
‘No one can doubt she’s got talent. It’s just a shame she knows it!’
Former X Factor finalist Olly Murs, 26, performed his new single Thinking Of Me and 16 of all The X Factor finalists were reunited to perform their cover of David Bowie’s 1977 classic Heroes, to raise money for Help The Heroes.
The contestants were joined by 20 servicemen and servicewomen who have been helped by the charity.
