Slim-Nite is a diet pill that you take before you go to sleep. It claims to activate growth hormones that turn fat into lean muscle, all whilst you sleep.

Slim-Nite is around £12 for 45 capsules. Take three a day before bed.

How does it work?

Slim-Nite contains three amino acids, L-ornithine, L-arginine and L-carnitine which work to break down fat and improve metabolism function overnight.

Where can I buy them?

Large chemists, selceted supermarkets and health food shops.

What are the pros?

  • Claims to work whilst you sleep, meaning you lose weight with minimal effort.
  • They’re relatively inexpensive, the 45 capsules per packet will last you a month.
  • There has been some research that’s shown canitine to play a vital role in turning body fat into energy.

What are the cons?

  • It’s hard to find much scientific evidence to back up the claims of Slim-Nite.

Nutritionist, Carina Norris says: ‘This might help some people – its ingredients could slow the rate at which the food you eat raises your blood sugar level, providing longer-lasting energy, so you don’t get hungry again so quickly. But you can get the same kind of effect – without any powders or supplements – by eating low-GI foods.’
