‘Five years ago today my beloved mum was taken to heaven. Far to young and far to soon,’ she said. ‘Whenever she entered a room she shone like the brightest light, with her never ending energy, she always said exactly what she thought, and everyone who had the incredible opportunity of getting close to her knows how funny, witty and insanely clever she was.’

‘My life emptied when she fell asleep 5 years ago today at 7:28pm so I ask today to spare a small thought for everyone close to you, who have lost loved ones to early in there precious lives.’

‘Think about others day!!! That’s how I want to help me get through today. I share today with the ones I love on earth, and always live life to the fullest. As you may never know when it’s your last!!!’

‘Love you mum, may your legacy live in in me,’ she concluded.

Lisa’s mum Cath had been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000, but the cancer spread to her ovaries and her pelvis, and she sadly passed away in 2012.

At the time, Lisa recalled to the Sunday Mirror: ‘She died in my arms. She was at my house. The entire family was there and we laughed together on the morning that she passed away. That was Mum. It was wonderful. She had dignity. She was fun and smiles to the very, very end.’

After reading her touching post, fans have rushed to send Lisa messages of love and support to help her through the occasion, with one writing: ‘Lovely words about your mum, how proud would she be to see what you have achieved now, chin up Lisa you’ve got the memories x’

‘Absolutely beautiful words and made me cry – this is exactly how I feel about my mum who I lost 2 years ago!’ another agreed. ‘They made us the amazing strong women we are today and I’ll forever be grateful and always have a piece of my heart missing! πŸ’›πŸ’›’
