Nadiya Hussain shares emotional video after suffering ‘scary’ panic attack

The mother-of-three was unable to ‘breathe, wash or move’ afterwards

Nadiya Hussain has shared an emotional video on her Instagram describing a panic attack she experienced in the night, which she describes as ‘disgusting and embarrassing’.

Bake Off champion Nadiya Hussain has previously spoken candidly about her struggle with anxiety and how baking has helped her to cope.

Earlier today Nadiya shared a video on her Instagram feed and once again opened up about her internal battle.

Recalling the panic attack the mum-of-three revealed that it had been so scary and intense that it left he unable to ‘breathe, wash or move’.

Writing in the caption Nadiya explained: ‘I’m sharing this video because as a mother as a wife as a 33 year old woman I feel like I should have my s*** together but that’s just me putting yet another judgement another expectation on myself and we are all guilty of doing that!

‘Yet there I was helpless again, victim to my anxiety, I could not breathe, move or wash. It was disgusting and embarrassing and I always feel sad and ashamed that I let it get me again. But today is another day and I am going to try and do as many normal things as is physically possible.’

Nadiya finished her emotional post with a message for anyone reading the caption or watching her video.

She wrote: ‘For anyone suffering, remember you are not alone, I am with you so many of us are with you. So today I will bake, i will stay at home and enjoy being alive. Over and out ! Till the next attack no doubt !! #panic #anxiety #mentalhealth #youarenotalone #willgetup #getoutofbed #caffeine #readyfortheday’.

Nadiya often posts about mental health and urges her followers to take care of themselves

The post has already received over 44,000 likes and hundreds of people have commented offering Nadiya their support and thanking her for being so honest.

One person wrote: ‘Love and light beautiful lady, one day at a time. You’re such an inspiration to me and many others. Be proud of YOU 💖’.

Another added: ‘You’re helping me. Peace and love 💜’.
