Christine McGuinness broke down during a guest appearance on ITV's Loose Women, while discussing her relationship with husband Paddy.
The mum, whose three children all have autism, was speaking on the panel to raise awareness about the condition when she saw a video that made her very emotional.
The clip in question was her husband Paddy sending in a special message calling her an ‘amazing woman and an amazing wife’.
The sweet declaration made Christine tear up, as she confessed that the situation can be very tough on the couple.
‘I have to say he’s amazing too. I find it easy with the children, yes it’s challenging but I just managed it but he struggled.’
She added, gushing about her husband: ‘He’s so good but he has to be because he loves the children but just getting his head around the fact we’ve got three children with a lifelong condition that we knew nothing about.’
Christine went on to say that she thinks it’s harder for dads to speak about the issue.
‘Nothing can prepare you for that, you have to learn on the job. He’s doing absolutely amazing’, she said. ‘He only spoke about it recently. I think it’s harder for dads and men.
‘We’ve always stayed so private anyway. We have a completely different world at home than when we’re doing what we’re doing.’
The 30-year-old also opened up about how the condition has changed their relationship, saying that it takes effort to find time for romance.
She said: ‘It’s part of the parcel. The kids are always going to come first and we have to make time for ourselves when we can. We’ve been together 11 years and for the first time he’s been at home for 10 weeks, that’s never happened before.
‘Even when we do go out we have to stay near the children’s’ schools. We can’t go on romantic nights away and we still haven’t been able to go abroad.’
‘Thank god I married a comedian because we laugh every day.’
