Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra tied the knot with two traditional weddings over the weekend.

The loved-up couple exchanged vows twice, with Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra first marrying in a Christian ceremony on Saturday night presided over by the groom’s pastor father.

And on Sunday Nick Jonas arrived on horseback wearing a turban to celebrate marrying Priyanka in a traditional Hindu ceremony.

The day of partying started at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India with a two-hour breakfast, according to the Bombay Times.

After the breakfast, a traditional haldi ceremony – a pre-wedding ritual where a paste of tumeric is applied to bride and the groom's body - began at 12.30pm.

The bride shared a candid snap of the happy couple with her 31.1m Instagram followers.

In the caption the 36-year old referred to how special it’s been merging of families and culture.

The actress, and former Miss World, wrote: 'One of them most special things that our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each other’s faiths and cultures.

'And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so amazing. An important part for the girl in an Indian wedding is the Mehendi.

'Once again we made it our own and it was an afternoon that kicked off the celebrations in the way we both dreamed.’

And the congratulations came flooding in from fans all over the world: 'Wishing you both a happy married life' wrote one fan.

While another said: 'Amazing! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness, health and love. Congratulations!'.

Another fan simply commented with: 'you guys are so cute together. Congrats!'

The couple first met after Nick direct messaged Priyanka on social media in 2016.

They started dating and Nick, 26, then proposed to Priyanka on her 36th birthday in London in July 2017 after a whirlwind romance, culminating in a beautiful Hindu wedding.

In line with tradition, Hindu weddings usually take place at sunset. And this one was no different, by late afternoon Nick took part in the safa ceremony in which he donned an elaborate turban.

The 26-year-old then mounted a decorated horse to arrive for his wedding in traditional style.

Then - according to the Bombay Times - the American musician joined his Indian actress bride and took a ride on an elephant around the premises of the palace. Before arriving at the main wedding area.

Hindu marriage includes prayers and a 'saath phere,' in which the bride and groom walk around a fire seven times to represent seven marital vows.

The luxuriously extravagant wedding was followed by an elaborate dinner and the after-party with music and dancing then apparently went late into the night.

Also during the evening, a slideshow was screened that featured childhood pictures of Nick and Priyanka.

'Nick and Priyanka’s mothers shared their heartfelt thoughts on what their children meant to them.

‘They spoke about how they both were, as kids, their growing up years and how lucky they were to be their parents.

‘It was an emotional moment for everyone,' the Bombay Times reported.

The night concluded with a massive fireworks show outside Umaid Bhawan which could be seen across the whole city.
