Paris Hilton and fiancé Chris Zylka ‘split’ eleven months after engagement

Paris Hilton and her fiancé Chris Zylka have split just eleven months after getting engaged, according to reports.

The sad news comes less than a year after the couple revealed they got engaged over the festive period, with a ring that was reportedly worth $2 million.

A source confirmed the split to People magazine, saying: ‘They broke up a few weeks ago. The relationship moved very fast, and she realized it wasn’t right for her.

‘She is travelling the world for her skincare and perfume. She wishes him all the best and hopes they can remain friends.’

The couple had postponed the ceremony because of their busy work schedules, with Paris saying she wanted to be able to enjoy her special day and go straight to her honeymoon after the wedding.

She told People in August: ‘We’re both just working so much and decided it would be much better just to push it to next year. With all the planning I want it to be perfect and you can’t rush something like this.’

The Simple Life star announced her happy news back in January with a picture of the loved-up pair kissing which has now been deleted, alongside all the other snaps of the couple.

The reality TV star has now deleted all of Chris’ pictures from her Instagram

Showing off her massive engagement ring, which was reportedly worth $2 million, she wrote: ‘I said Yas! So happy & excited to be engaged to the love of my life. My best friend & soulmate.

‘Perfect for me in every way. So dedicated, loyal, loving & kindhearted.

‘I feel like the luckiest girl in the world! You are my dream come true! Thank you for showing me that fairytales do exist.’

After the announcement, she told People magazine at the time: ‘I was so excited and surprised! I immediately said yes!

‘The ring was so gorgeous and sparkling. I was shaking as I put it on. It is the most beautiful ring that I have ever seen!’
