Chris Pratt married Katherine Schwarzenegger in an intimate wedding ceremony in California.
The Avenger’s star tied the knot with Katherine at exclusive San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California, on Saturday.
The 39-year-old actor took to Instagram on Sunday to share the exciting news to his 25 million followers that he has married his fiancé 29-year-old Katherine.
He said: ‘Yesterday was the best day of our lives!’
He continued: ‘We became husband and wife in front of God, our families and those we love.
‘It was intimate, moving and emotional. We feel so blessed to begin this new chapter of our lives.
‘We are so thankful to our families and our friends who stood with us and grateful to Mr. Giorgio Armani who created a once in a lifetime dress for Katherine to wear and for me, the perfect suit.
‘This morning we feel nothing but blessed.’
Fans and celebrity friends soon rushed to congratulate the lovebirds.
Gwyneth Paltrow wrote: ‘YAY! I love this picture. So happy for you both!!’
Priyanka Chopra wrote: ‘Amazing! Congratulations! 🎉👏’
Another added: ‘Big congrats! Loved seeing your energy together and knew this was a magical relationship meant to inspire so many people through your love!!! ❤️❤️.’
The lavish ceremony was attending by celebrity guest including Katherine’s father Arnold Schwarzenegger, mother Maria Shriver, and Chris’ ex-wife Anna Faris.
A source close to the couple told PEOPLE magazine: 'You can tell today is the happiest day for Katherine. She hasn’t stopped smiling. And Chris seems giddy with excitement.’
Chris revealed he popped the question to Katherine in January 2019, after just seven months of dating.
He wrote: ‘Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go! 💍🙏♥️’
Though, the news came as a shock to fans and friends, as Chris had only just finalised his divorce with Anna Faris, three months prior in October 2018.
Chris shares six-year-old son Jack with Anna, he split from in August 2017 after eight years of marriage.
