Aaron Sidwell has announced his engagement to girlfriend Tricia Adele Turner.

EastEnders actor Aaron Sidwell, who plays the role of Steven Beale in the BBC soap, took to social media to reveal the exciting news of his engagement to Tricia Adele Turner.

The 30-year-old popped the question on Easter Sunday, revealing the news to his 51,000 Instagram and 25,800 Twitter followers.

The star posted a snap of the pair having a romantic smooch in the middle of London’s busy Carnaby Street, with Tricia giving us a glimpse of her sparkling diamond engagement ring.

Aaron captioned the picture, '💍 Here’s to the future Mrs Sidwell #SheSaidYes'.

The location marks a special meaning to both Aaron and Tricia, as this is where the loved-up pair first met while both starring in the theatre show Carnaby Street: The Musical.

He joined the musical production back in 2013, after his first exit from EastEnders.

His former soap buddies were quick to congratulate the pair.

Adam Woodyatt, who played Aaron’s on-screen dad Ian Beale replied, ‘Congratulations’.

‘Congratulations ❤️’, replied Tilly Keeper, who plays Louise Mitchell.

'My boy ❤️❤️❤️', added Harry Reid, who plays Ben Mitchell.

Former Emmerdale actress Verity Rushworth said: 'Yeeeeeeeeessss !!!!!! I knew when I walked in to the dressing room mid smooch that something special was in the air !!! So chuffed for you both xxx All our love xxxxx.'

Aaron played EastEnder's Steven Beale from 2007 to 2017.

After his brief exit from soaps to star in theatre shows, he re-joined EastEnders in 2016.  His character Steven Beale was dramatically killed off after just one year after suffering an internal haemorrhage following a fight with Max Branning, who was played by Jake Wood.

This will be Aaron’s second marriage. He was previously married to Grace Isted whom he shares two daughters, Matilda, 10, and Isla 17. The pair separated in 2009, after four years of marri
