Jamie Oliver’s wife Jools has revealed the exciting news that she and husband Jamie plan to remarry in a ceremony to mark their 20th anniversary milestone.
Speaking to Red magazine, the 44-year-old mother-of-five shared that she and 44-year-old Jamie plan to take some time out after the sad news of his restaurant chain collapsing earlier this year in May.
Jools said: ‘Next year, we’ll have been married 20 years, and we’re going to get married again, but do things differently – outside and barefoot.
‘Our wedding was formal, but we’re so not like that. It’ll be a big party. Why the hell not? I think we’ve done well!’
Recalling when the pair first took their vows, she said: ‘Our first dance was to Dusty Springfield’s I Only Want To Be With You, but Jamie doesn’t like dancing, so I threw him off. I was in my element!'
Before the couple take their vows for the second time, they plan to take a romantic trip to Cornwall,
Jools continued: ‘Everyone looks shattered and we all need a break.
'All I wanted was children and to get stuck into home life. I was quite true to myself in that way.'
Last month, the happy couple celebrated their 19th year wedding anniversary with Jools sharing a cute post on social media.
Jools took to Instagram to share a sweet throwback black and white picture of the pair cuddled up in a photo booth.
Alongside the photo she captioned: ‘Happy 19 years married to my absolute favourite xxx.'
Jamie also took took to social media to wish Jools a happy anniversary. He recalled his wedding day with the heartfelt message: ‘My wedding day was one of the best days of my life, we kept it private and surrounded ourselves by loving friends and family and what a joy it was ….. jools thanks for being the best friend a wonderful wife and truly amazing mother to our Oliver clan.’
Jools frequently shares photos of her and Jamie's younger years together. Last month she shared a throwback photograph of the pair's first holiday together.
Jamie and Jools first tied the knot in June 2000 after dating since they were teenagers.
The couple have five children together, 17-year-old Poppy, 16-year-old Daisy, 10-year-old Petal, eight-year-old Buddy Bear and two-year-old River.
