Jennifer Lopez announces engagement to boyfriend Alex Rodriguez

Jennifer Lopez is engaged to Alex Rodriguez, her boyfriend of two years.

The singer took to Instagram to share their exciting news with fans, posting a picture of the huge square-cut engagement ring that Rodriguez gave her against a romantic sunset.

Alex shared the same photo on his own page, accompanied by the sweet and simple caption: 'She said yes'

Fans were quick to congratulate the happy couple, with one Instagram user writing: 'This is wonderful wishing you too all the best. Congratulations.'

Lopez and Rodriguez recently celebrated their two year anniversary, with Jennifer sharing a five-photo gallery of images of Alex, who is a former professional baseball star, with this adorable caption:

The Maid in Manhattan actress met her now-fiancé back in 2005 at Shea Stadium when the Yankees played the New York Mets. It wasn't until the winter of 2016 that the couple became romantically linked.

Speaking of their relationship in December, Lopez told USA Today: 'Everyone wants a fairy tale. They all want a romantic comedy, a happy ending. We all do. But it's not a movie, even if you see us on Instagram or on the shows.'
