Actress Jenny Slate engaged to boyfriend Ben Shattuck after split from Avengers’ Chris Evans

Actress Jenny Slate has announced her engagement.

The Parks and Recreation star took to her Instagram account to share the exciting news that her partner Ben Shattuck had asked her to marry him.

Sharing a series of sweet photos of the pair on a holiday to France, the 37-year-old wrote: ‘He took me to France and made a picnic and made me feel happy and free and then he asked me to marry him and i screamed YES.

‘I love you @benshattuck_art, you are the kindest and brightest and I am so grateful and here we go and keep going ❤️🎈❤️’.

Gallery curator Ben also shared the news on his own Instagram feed, sharing sweet photos of new fiancé Jenny, writing: ‘In an abandoned castle in southern France, I asked this woman to marry me. 🌈❤️🍾

It is thought that the Despicable Me 3 actress has been dating her now-fiancé for about a year, confirming the romance back in January at the Sundance Film Festival.

The engagement news comes only a year and a half after the actress ended her high-profile relationship with Avengers and Captain America star Chris Evans.
