MasterChef's John Torode and Lisa Faulkner are officially married after an intimate ceremony on Thursday.

The couple haven’t shared any details of their wedding ceremony yet, but Lisa Faulkner shared a story on Instagram that read ‘very exciting day today’ to confirm that she was about to walk down the aisle.

Her story was re-posted by clothing company Stripe and Stare, who wrote, ‘Congratulations to the new Mrs Torode @lisafaulknercooks looking gorgeous in her bespoke Mrs sweatshirt 🎉💓🧖🏼♀️🥰’

John Torode and Lisa Faulkner got engaged on Christmas Day last year, and have kept their wedding plans out of the public eye.

However, John had hinted the wedding was close after he said goodbye to presenting on This Morning. He regularly presents the cooking segment on the popular daytime TV show, but Eamonn Holmes had said, “It’s the last time we’ll see you?”

To which John replied, “At least for a while. But I’ll be back soon, don’t worry about that!”

The public’s first real glimpse at the Torode wedding was via actor Charlie Condou’s Instagram account, where he posted some photographs from the big day.

In one caption, he wrote, ‘Wedding ready @lisafaulknercooks @johntorodecooks’.

A location tag revealed that it took place at stately home Aynhoe Park, in Oxfordshire. It’s a grade I listed 17th century county house, which was rebuilt after the English Civil War.

It’s quite the picturesque location, and we’re looking forward to seeing official wedding photographs in the near future. We’re sure the couple both looked wonderful on their big day!

John Torode and Lisa Faulkner share a cooking programme together, John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen, where they excitedly confirmed a second season back in May.

At the time, Lisa had joked to Lorraine that she’d have to keep John out of the kitchen on their wedding day, saying, “I think I will have to be making sure that he has not gone off to the kitchen to check on stuff. He did say, ‘The night before, I think I will cook this,’ and I was like, ‘You are not cooking anything!'”

Let’s hope that John managed to stay out of the kitchen during their celebrations!
