EastEnders actress Laurie Brett marries fiancé Dennis Longman in low-key ceremony

EastEnders star Laurie Brett and her fiancé carried out their nuptials in a discreet ceremony at the weekend.

Laurie Brett, who played Jane Beale in the BBC soap, has married her fiancé Dennis Longman in a ceremony that took place on Saturday.

News of the wedding broke when the EastEnders star, 49, was pictured in her wedding gown alongside her new husband, in an adorable picture posted by Tamzin Outhwaite on her Instagram.

Tamzin, who plays Mel Owens in the soap, first shared a snap of wedding flowers on her Instagram stories, before posting the photo of the couple kissing with the caption: 'Congratulations Laurie and Den.'

Laurie, who is a mother-of-one, looked stunning in an embroidered white dress with flowers and sheer sleeves with a v-neck design. The actress' blonde hair was styled in a graceful up-do, with flowers weaved into her curls.

Laurie, also made sure to invite some of her other co-stars to join her on her big day, including Letitia Dean, who was pictured at The Stage in Hampstead, where some of the celebrations took place.

This is Laurie's second marriage, after she split with her husband John Milroy in 2014 following five years together. The pair share a daughter, Erin, eight, together.

Laurie hasn't yet shared any more details of the very low-key ceremony herself, but did hint to fans about an exciting weekend ahead on Twitter, writing: 'Roll on the weekend... Have it large.. xx.'

Some fans have since caught on as to what she was implying by her message, and have reached out to congratulate Laurie and Dennis on the happy news.

One user commented: 'Congrats to you both x.'Another fan very sweetly tweeted: 'Congratulations and all the very best for the future.'
