Dancing on Ice star Perri Shakes-Drayton has married her fiancé Mike Edwards, in a fairytale ceremony in Buckinghamshire.

British Olympian Perri, 30, revealed the lovely news to OK! Magazine, after she and now husband Mike, 28, said ‘I do’.

As tradition dictates, the bride was late for the ceremony – but turns out it was all Mike’s fault.

‘I’d written a timeline of our relationship from when we met to where we are now,’ he said.

‘It had sentimental stories that I knew would mean a lot. I felt bad that it had made her cry!’

Speaking what it feels like to be married, Perri said: ‘It’s a lovely feeling.

‘We keep on looking at each other’s wedding rings – Mike doesn’t usually wear jewellery!’

The newly-weds also decided to take some time off social media after tying the knot, so they could properly enjoy the first few moments of being husband and wife.

‘We took ourselves off social media the day after the wedding, as we just wanted to enjoy the moment’, Perri added.

The pair announced they got engaged in January last year, by posting a series of loved-up snaps on social media.

Perri wrote at the time: ‘So not last night but the night before….this happened! To my surprise I was taken back to where me and Mike had our first date. I was smiling from ear to ear as it brought back all the memories when I was asked by him to be accompanied to the Royal opera house(not the usual first date). Fantastic idea babe proper romantic @aireyys he is.

‘When the night gets even better. You have no idea but given instructions just to wear something you’ve never worn before. I was told to take a seat at the dining table. I was taking in the luxurious surroundings and selfie taking while babe used the toilet. Little did I know he returned to then get down on one knee and ask me to marry him. OMG I was in so much shock but my guy done well.’

Congratulations to the happy couple!
