Simon Webbe is the first member of Blue to get married - and his bandmates were very emotional!
In a glitzy ceremony at London’s Corinthia Hotel last week, the 40-year-old Blue singer was joined by bandmates and 'brothers' Duncan James, 40, Lee Ryan, 35 and Antony Costa, 37 as he wed lifestyle blogger and PA Ayshen.
Speaking exclusively to Hello!, Simon gushed: ‘This is the best day of my life – and Ayshen looks more beautiful than I have ever seen her before.’
The bride, who wore a stunning white Enzoani gown and customised veil, added: ‘I’m so happy. I can’t believe we’re married. I don’t think I’ll get tired of calling him my husband.’
Duncan, Lee and Antony said they were all emotional at the event, especially because Simon is the first of the band to tie the knot – awww!
‘I actually welled up a bit during the ceremony,’ Lee said.
Duncan added: ‘There was just an overwhelming sense of love.
‘I find it really emotional to see Simon so happy because obviously I’ve know him for a long, long time and we’ve been like brothers. And he’s the first one to actually get married. He’s just so happy with Ayshen – it’s a different level of happiness. He just knew. He said to us: ‘She’s the one’. And that was it.’
As well as attending the ceremony, the Blue singers paid tribute to the happy couple before taking to the stage to entertain guests with a medley of their greatest hits.
Earlier today, Simon posted a cute pic from the wedding featuring Ayshen and his bandmates on Instagram, and fans were quick to congratulate the couple.
‘Huge congratulations!! Hope you had the most amazing day!! X,’ wrote one of Simon's followers, with another adding: ‘Oh my god I love this pic!!!’
Ayshen also shared a photo with her and Simon posing on the hotel balcony as she showcased her incredible wedding gown. Look at that train!
Simon proposed to Ayshen during a romantic holiday in Jamaica last year. The pair began dating in October 2015.
