Tyra Banks and Erik Asla reportedly split after five years together

The pair share a son

Tyra Banks and Erik Asla have reportedly ended their relationship after five years of dating.

Both Us Weekly and PEOPLE magazine claim to have confirmed the news, with a source telling Us: 'She and Erik are friends. The break up was drama-free.' Erik is also said to have moved out of the family home in Los Angeles.

However, neither Tyra or Erik have addressed the rumours or spoken publicly about their alleged separation.

The news comes a year and a half after Tyra and Erik welcomed their first child, a son named York, together via surrogate in January 2016.

America's Next Top Model host Tyra, 43, announced the arrival of their bundle of joy with an emotional Instagram post, writing at the time: 'The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here. He's got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik's mouth and chin.'

'As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone.'

'York Banks Asla, welcome to the world.'

York is Tyra's only child, although photographer Erik also has daughters with a previous partner. Various titles have reported that the couple remain amicable and will continue to co-parent their son.

'They are still friends and co-parenting their son, York Banks Asla, together,' an insider said to Entertainment Tonight. 'Tyra is a very hands-on mom, so it is not surprising she would continue to co-parent with Erik.'

Prior to her little boy's arrival, the supermodel had been frank about her struggles with her fertility.

Talking to fellow celeb Chrissy Teigen, who has also spoken candidly about having difficulty conceiving, during an interview in 2015, she explained: 'We're kind of going through this similar thing with IVF'.

'And, you know, putting needles in your tummy every day and having to come to work and smile when you feel like you want to throw up and lay down.'
