Zoe Ball and Norman Cook have split up after 18 years of marriage.

Known for being one of the strongest British couples in the music scene, Zoe Ball and Norman Cook have announced their separation on Twitter after 20 years together.

Taking to Twitter, the pair simultaneously tweeted a statement explaining their separation, describing the end of their marriage as, 'we have come to the end of our rainbow' and revealing that they will still be living on the same street to raise their children.

Both Zoe and Norman tweeted the same screen shot of a statement that read, 'With great sadness we are announcing that we have separated. After many exciting adventures together over the last 18 years we have come to the end of our rainbow. We are still great friends and will continue top support each other and raise our beautiful children together, living next door but one.'

90's music fans are devastated, tweeting messages of support to both Zoe and Norman. One Twitter user wrote, 'Wow. That sucks. Kinda hoped you two would fly the flag forever. Best of luck with everything. X' whilst another said, 'all the very best for the next chapter x'

The official Strictly Come Dancing twitter account even commented on the split, tweeting Zoe, who presents spin-off show It Takes Two, a sweet message saying, 'lots of love ❤️❤️❤️'.

Zoe, 45 is a presenter, TV personality and radio DJ who is best known for her work on The Radio 1 Breakfast Show whilst Norman is famous for his musical persona Fat Boy Slim.

Norman and Zoe have two children together, a 15-year-old son called Woody Freddy Cook and a six-year-old daughter called Nelly May Lois Cook.

Their romance began back in 1997 after meeting in Ibiza and they married two years later. The pair split briefly in 2003 but soon reconciled.
